For the realm of calligraphy, the strokes are scared to create meaningful letter forms.
The Gujarati word Akshara (letter-forms) transforms through positive and negative spaces between letters into the word pavitra (Sacred). The composition highlights the importance of the calligraphic strokes through which these letter-forms are created. In the highest form of consciousness and spirituality, the emptiness(shunyata) is considered as sacred space. The letter forms get transformed through this emptiness which has flow of energy finally become sacred. The creator of this letter forms also goes through the meditative process of transformation and becomes one with the process and outcome. The idea of black and white- light and shadow co-exist for the experience of sacred space in nature. Nature is sacred.
